Aircraft Twirls Out of Control into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Beach
A helicopter flying near a crowded southern California coastline abruptly commenced twirling out of control, finally losing altitude and crashing into a line of palm fronds as beachgoers watched.
Recordings posted online capture the aircraft starting to spin above the shoreline then descending near the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a steps close to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were taken to hospital comprising two who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on Saturday.
Three people on the street were injured. Information on their injuries were still under review.
The cause of the crash was still under investigation.
